OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I’ve just been dying to tell you all about today.
YOU HAVE A NEPHEW!
Luna went into labour today. She started bleeding, many times just over my lap, and I was so worried.
I took her to the vet, and he said it would be a difficult birth because there were 2 babies where there would normally be 4 (so, they were bigger). He said if she doesn’t give birth by the 20th, we should come back to him. And that she was having 2 kittus.
OMG, you should’ve just seen her dumb, goofy face when she heard the heartbeat. She definitely knew!!
We come back home, and she runs off into the cupboard. I think she just needs her space, and suddenly I hear crying…
We’ve called the doctor, and he says “Next baby should come in 3 hours OR call me”. In the meantime, I’m obviously fervently googling. Turns out cats can have something called “interrupted labour“. Because she’s absolutely going about her usual business – nursing and caring for her newborn – NOT PUSHING.
We take the x-rays to Doctor Asha, next door, and ask her what she thinks – she says this can happen.
So, we leave it be for the next day and try to have some faith.
