Dear Loco,

It is Sankranti today, and I went to Babts’ house. I could barely get out of bed long enough to brush my teeth but I showed up, laptop in tow.

We work, we eat and we fly some kites. It was an incredibly beautiful sunset, and a glorious joy to hold something while it flies kms in the sky. I pictured you somewhere up there guiding that kite safely back to us. And I may have bet on the right horse, but that kite came right back.

Kites always bring back to me this quote:

I can never know why you gave me as much as you did, and if I deserved it. But I do know – For you, a thousand times over.. I would do this all over again. Even the heartbreak.
